Dirham (Silver, 29 mm, 4.00 g, 1 h), Ghazna type, the so-called ‘bull’s-eye’ type introduced by the Fatimids, without mint and date. ‘al-Sulṭān’ in a central circle; traces of the Kalima in the marginal legend. Rev. ‘Muḥammad ibn Sām’ written in the form of a calligram in a central circle; traces of the titulature in the marginal legend. Cf. Album 1770. Very rare. Weak strike, otherwise, fine.
